New Brunswick Scores Below Average.

A new study by Stats Canada puts New Brunswick near the bottom of the pile among Canadian Provinces in Literacy skills. There was very little change from numbers 10 years ago. I don't know about anyone else, but I find this appalling. Where the heck are our tax dollars going within the education system???? I was told in a previous blog entry that the Lord Government has spent "record amounts" on education. Well it doesn’t sound so rosy now does it . Record amount or not, it's obviously not enough. Is anybody in government even trying to do anything to improve this situation???? I find this extremely depressing. It sure makes it hard to be a competitive, viable option for investment by outside companies, when our population struggles with basic reading and writing skills.
