Emerson Story Still Spinning.

I wonder if Stephen Harper and his handlers are surprised at the legs this story has developed???
We have an online petition: Recall David Emerson

Yesterday Garth Turner was called onto the carpet with the PM for not toeing the party line and speaking out against this Emerson Deal.

Ontario MP says he's under fire from own party...

MP's career 'limited' for criticising turncoat

You can also read Turner's thoughts on the subject on his Blog.

And now the NDP ask ethics commissioner to investigate.

Then, today, I heard Peter MacKay put in his two cents. Too bad his arguement was so weak. He actually said this was much better and different than the Stronach situation. I was'nt 100% convinced about her motives last year when she crossed.....BUT.....at least she could actually make a reasonable arguement about a difference in opinion on the issues and the direction the party was heading.(And her contituents have sinced backed up her stance by re-electing her remember.) She also actually did SIT with the party who's banner she had been elected under.
Emerson on the other hand....Never even made it to Parliament with his elected party. He has actually SAID that had Martin's liberal's been elected he would not have crossed over. So, it's not a fundamental difference of party platform at play here, but simply a greedy power play to try and keep his sorry ass on the government benches. He picked his best option to get elected in his riding, and then jumped to where he wanted to be. My prediction is, this man will never again see the inside of the parliament buildings from an MLA seat once this government makes it's way back to the polls, whenever that occurs.

On the other hand, it seems to be keeping people from discussing Harper's Patronage Appointment of the UNELECTED Michael Fortier. Maybe Harper did this on purpose to deflect people from his blantant Lie about not appointing senators??? Just a thought.
