Harpers Plan.......
So Mr. Harper has released his plan. In his pretty blue document he has:
* 45 Billion in tax cuts over five years to individuals and businesses.
* 30 Billion in New Spending over 5 years.
* 29 Billion in spending cuts and reallocations. {that sounds kinda interesting doesn’t it??}
Now Harper does admit that there will be cuts in services and funding in order for his plan to work, but is downplaying them. He also refuses to give us any hints as to what these cuts may be.
Quite obviously he’s going to have to dip into the surpluses run up by the Liberal government, which have been used over the last 12 years to pay down the debt run up by previous governments.
Either big cuts are part of his plan or he will indeed eventually get into deficit spending IMO.
